Talisman Bowmen Archery Club was established in the 1970's as a club for friends to shoot together, and it remains that way today. The atmosphere at club days is always friendly with the more experienced archers always ready to help and advise the less experienced. Our coaches provide quality instruction and guidance for beginners and improvers alike.

Talisman's outdoor range is at Hunts Pond Road in Titchfield Common, near Fareham in southern Hampshire, England. In the summer months the club meets on a Wednesday and Friday evening for shooting and coaching with the recent addition of Tuesday evenings for beginners classes as required.

During the winter months, the club meets on a Wednesday evening for indoor shooting, coaching and beginners classes, at Brookfield School  in Sarisbury, near Fareham in southern Hampshire, England. Also on a Friday evening the club meets at nearby Wickham Community Centre  Wickham. Between them, Talisman's ranges offer good all year round shooting facilities to our members. The club has a good mix of ages, experience and commitment levels. We take juniors from the age of twelve and no retirement age.

Many of our members wish to shoot purely for fun and the social aspect of getting out and meeting people. For those wishing to shoot in competition Talisman Bowmen is always well represented at local tournaments. For the serious archer, we have close ties with the Hampshire County Team. Whatever your level of commitment, there is always a friendly, jovial atmosphere tempered with the advice from qualified coaches and leaders.

As a club we hold open tournaments for other archers to attend. At the present time we hold three per year, two of which are aimed specifically at junior archers. Our Outdoor Junior Tournament has been held in the summer since 1979 and our Indoor Junior Tournament has been held during the winter since 1991. These are two of a small number of events specifically aimed at Juniors and have once more lived up to the reputation gained over the years since our first Junior Tournament 22 years ago!

The third tournament was held for the first time in 2001 and is a longbow tournament held in the grounds of Titchfield Abbey.
